Is it a photo booth?
It is not. The Portrait Affaire is a photographer-led Portrait Station. A true standout from the standard photo booth. Instead of a kiosk, or quick snapshots, we bring a fully equipped professional studio directly to your event. With our signature white backdrop, studio-grade lighting, a dedicated portrait photographer, and an on-site retoucher delivering images in real time. Each guest enjoys a personalized private session. The result? Portraits with the same quality and artistry you'd expect from your wedding day photography.
What areas do you serve?
We are thrilled to offer our luxury Portrait Station throughout the majority of Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia! For out of town inquiries, please reach out for a custom quote!
How long does set up take?
Ideally we would like one hour for setting up our studio space to ensure it is ready, and troubleshooted prior to your event. Breakdown is much quicker - typically taking around 30 minutes.
Can you print extra photos for me?
Because of time limitations, on-site printing is reserved for your guests, ensuring they leave with beautiful keepsakes in hand. We offer a 10x10 heirloom album for our couples that include each image, paired with handwritten notes and well-wishes from your loved ones.
How big are the prints for our guests?
Your prints will receive prints 8x10 in size, complete with a folio for safe keeping.
Do guests write in our guestbook?
We offer a luxury 10x10 heirloom quality album that features all images taken, along with digitized hand written notes and well wishes from your loved ones. Guests will hand write their notes and well wishes, and our team will convert them into a digital file to be coordinated with their photo from the station. If guests choose to not leave a note, that's okay too! Due to the custom nature and design of this album, this item is shipped to you typically around 2 weeks after your event.
What is the best time to start the session?
For our wedding clients, the perfect time to begin is after the final speech, as the dance floor opens. Cocktail hour is also a wonderful option, offering guests a relaxed moment to step in for their portraits.
How are payments handled?
We require a non-refundable 30% retainer to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your event date.
